Milpitas, California--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. ("SolarEdge") (NASDAQ: SEDG), a global leader in smart energy technology, announced today that SolarEdge Energy Bank's residential batteries are in North America. The high-efficiency DC-coupled battery provides 9.7kWh of backup power, and up to 8 additional batteries can be connected to provide up to 87kWh of backup capacity, while providing future compatibility with third-party generators.
SolarEdge today also announced the launch of its new SolarEdge Energy Hub inverter models, with power ranging from 7.6kW to 11.4kW of photovoltaic power sources and 10.3kW of backup power sources. It has a 200% DC super-large size, which can provide homes with higher Energy production. The Energy Hub High Standby Power Inverter simplifies installation by reducing the need for a main panel upgrade (MPU) and shortens installation time by wirelessly connecting with SolarEdge Energy Bank batteries and various smart energy devices, including SolarEdge Home EV Charger.
SolarEdge Energy Hub inverters and SolarEdge Energy Bank batteries are part of a new SolarEdge whole-home solution called "SolarEdge Home", a smart smart energy management system that allows homeowners to better manage and monitor solar energy Production, consumption and spare storage are instantaneous. The SolarEdge Home system is controlled by the mySolarEdge mobile app, which helps to prioritize loads based on homeowner preferences and applies smart algorithms to help make economic decisions, taking into account external factors such as weather events.
