Mrs. Okuribido said that donation of Solar Computer Laboratory to Oregun Senior High School was part of their Legacy Project 2021 – 2022. She said that the project was the first of its kind in the history of the International Association of Lions Club.
“We provided the school with Solar Components and Inverter which is a high breed with MPPT Solar charge controller; there are eight Solar Panels of 300 wax each and 13 Laptops which are of a very high GB, so it can be fast for the students to use,” she stated.
She noted that the project was commissioned two weeks ago, May 21, 2022, by the District Governor, Lion Otunba Ishiaq Kayode Oshinuga.
She also stated that Lions Club would be visiting the school from time to time, to make sure there is sustainability and workability of the computers.
Lion Okuribido said the Oregun community falls under her jurisdiction as the Regional Chairperson. “It is a Green Legacy Project,” she added.
