Director Deepak Pandey believes that the company's hybrid equipment (compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries) will replace the existing market.

Invergy will showcase its residential energy storage system at Intersolar India 2021.

London-based inverter and battery company Invergy launched hybrid solar inverters in India this year, with the goal of residential arrays with 3-12 kW products for single-phase and three-phase installations.

As part of promoting Indian customers, the company will establish an inverter plant in Noida, Uttar Pradesh in May, which will be able to produce 5 MW of products per year.

Deepak Pandey, Director of Invergy, told Photovoltaic Magazine: “Our product line does not compete with other existing inverter brands in India. Our next-generation inverters have features that have not been launched in India until today. These are IP65 compatible devices that are compatible with Lithium-ion batteries are compatible with lead-acid batteries. At present, most inverters available on the Indian market are only compatible with [a] lead-acid or lithium batteries."

"Our inverters are expandable. Therefore, by placing 10 rows of 5 kW inverters in parallel, you can get 50 kW output. You can connect up to 16… rows. In this case, the maximum capacity will be Around 75 kW, with 5 kW units. The best part is that our single-phase inverters can be connected in three-phase mode and provide three-phase output."

Invergy claims to have 10 MW of manufacturing capacity to meet residential solar markets in Europe, West Africa, Dubai and India.

"We want to manufacture in India because the Indian market has responded very well," Pandey added. "In addition, the concept of Made in India is also there. The increase in [tariff] tariffs on imported complete equipment is one of the reasons [we are expanding in India]."
