US-based micro-inverter manufacturer Enphase Energy, Inc. and Indian EPC installer U-Solar today announced the installation of solar roof installations on an acre of clubhouse and several villas in Nambia Bellezea, which currently has more than 250 households.

The 160kW solar roof of Club Bellezea (a gated community club) is powered by 320 TRW 500 Wp solar modules and 320 Enphase IQ7A micro-inverters. From September 11 to November 9, 2021, it has generated 24.43 MWh of solar energy, saving 1,95,440 Indian rupees in electricity bills. Subsequently, Nambiar Bellezea is expected to save about 11,72,640 Indian rupees and 2,93,16,000 Indian rupees each year in 25 years to power the club. A representative of U-Solar shared that the solar roof of the clubhouse also helped offset 19 tons of carbon emissions.

The installation of Nambiar Bellezea powers the entire 1,00,000-square-foot clubhouse, which includes several swimming pools, including a 25-meter semi-Olympic swimming pool and a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, yoga and Zumba, and 24 fully equipped suites , Banquet hall, indoor badminton court, squash court, convenience store, salon, ATM and laundromat. The restaurants, bars and spas under construction will also be powered by the installed solar roof system after completion.

The burst technology of Enphase IQ 7 allows the micro-inverter to generate more energy at dawn, dusk and low light conditions, thereby prolonging the solar day. The IQ micro-inverter also includes a built-in quick shutdown function so that in the event of an emergency, the solar energy can be turned off easily and immediately, ensuring the safety of utility workers and emergency personnel.

Sanjeev Jha, U-Solar Operations Director, commented on the solar installation: “Enphase IQ microinverters are a wise choice for installers. They are plug-and-play, easy to install, and provide the best inverters. Technology to ensure that our panels generate the maximum amount of power generation. For residential properties, IQ microinverters are inherently safer because they operate on the same low-voltage AC power source as the home."

Club managers and villa owners can use Enphase's solar monitoring mobile application MyEnlighten to track solar production and monitor the health of the solar system.
